Friday game - Customer Feedback Friday!

From Jouni_crew, on 2007-08-24 at 15:00

Usually the Friday games are all about being funny, witty, the first to find the right answers or something like that. Today that’s not the case though. I get quite a bit of customer feedback by email (…and try to answer to most of it also) and today is…

What do you think about our designs, the way they are printed, the shirts we use, our product selection…? What would you like see more and what are the things you wouldn’t miss even if me quite doing them right this minute? What would you improve? What is going to the right direction and what are the dumbest choices we’ve made?

Tell me. We want to improve!

The best customer feedback before Sunday midnight (GMT) is rewarded by a spanking new design t-shirt of the winner’s choice from our selection (shipping included). Well, enough brouzoufs for one actually, but you know the drill.

Little note about the last Friday’s Friday game: I’m still going through all the entries. I’m sorry it takes so long – be patient.

In the Europe laFraise, the community seams not very big. But crew is friendly. So how to meet each other? By a changing website! Have animating sprites, with colors and surprise!
Just galleries is a little boring. laFraise can become an expressive communautary shop. I mean it can be the crew’s game place. Have fun is good, make fun is better.
Have some java funny sprite walking cross the screen. Have bubble playing with mouse. But not too much. Just like a curiosity coming from the pleasure of working for laFraise.
Express your self on your working place!

@ ZhongArt, i’m working on it ;)

Well, I was talking about laFraise as user….
…I have not yet purchased a t-shirt… But sure I’ll do it!!!

For the graphics, ask all designers to translate designs in the laFraise language (french for french, german for german and english for europe site).

Make relation between sites. For exemple: designs who are in more than one lF site would have a mark that says "also available in laFraise France" or something like that.

I think there is now not really three lF communities and not really a big one. The relationship between the three sites seams not very effective. What do you think about, you the lF crew?

I’m afraid that I will have to revise all my English course before i play this friday game ! ^^

I like the quality of your tee-shirts and serigraphy. But I would like perhaps more possibilities on the technical level. For example, a new color usable in our designs, or an impression on the entirety of the textile (or like a pattern, but I know how it is difficult to realize that). I think that Lafraise Europe must be dissociated completely and offer the chance to new people who have a different style that those on your French counterpart. It would be pleasant for the visitor to observe three rather different shops, although resulting from the same fruit, with varied products. There are many “big names” on the French website and I have for my part at least a tee-shirt of each one of them. But I would like that one takes more risks by giving a chance to unknown people of the public who could use it as a professional springboard. I reproached Lafraise France their system of preselection, for a long time. I saw work of friends who were disappointed not to have the chance to be seen, and to receive the opinion of the Net surfers. These choices being something of very subjective, and it would be necessary to give more freedoms for this preselection. That would be interesting for the graphic designers who want to obtain the opinion of the members, and for the members who could see very different styles. That wouldn’t harm the quality of your shop, considering which you are always in charge of the selections (and other shops as Threadless don’t suffer from it). I speak obviously as a customer, but also as a student who really wishes to be able to progress thanks to the public. Thanks for having allowed me to expose you my point of view.

can I just ask who won the last Friday’s game? Haven’t heard anything yet, and it has been a week..

2007-08-24 16:18:42

The concept is really good and I think it could be improved by joining efforts between the different La Fraise sites. For example, I have quite a lot of ideas regarding slogans that could easily be put into drawings, but I am really s… at drawing! One way for La Fraise to get as many ideas as possible would be to have a data base with the names and contacts of the differents designers. Thus I would contact one of them to share ideas!
If you think about the slogans, some of them will work pretty well in France but won’t mean anything in US or Germany. Thus, it is quite difficult to reach a broad public and satisfy everybody. The same for the drawings. A canard a l’orange is maybe not that well know on the other side of the Atlantic1 Keep the spirit of La Fraise!

In Decleir continuity:
Why don’t have just ONE selection for the lF sites. And dispatch the designs in the different sites.
In this way, designs appear just in one site and there is more designs selected.

Hello.
Quality of tshirts is ok for me.
I would like to see all printed designs sorted by Date, or Votes, etc. so we could arrange them and see them in order of appearence (or printing) for example, to have a history of Lafraise tshirts. Then, an easy way to ask for a reprinting, select printed tshirts and click on a link just to ask for it again (Which is the way to ask for a reprinting at the moment??).
Finally I would like to buy more tshirts for 11€ (hehehe) I know this is difficult… Thanks!!

2007-08-24 16:57:37

Me again, i know there is a menu on the right for doing that, but i can not see Date of that design (year? month?) and I do not get too much when selecting by an option, it is a little mess for me, at least.

2007-08-24 17:13:44

Lafraise t-shirts are really nice anyway when they are not lost or stolen by my mailman…
Customer service is perfect better than a winning service of Nadal. But there is always a but my sillicone dolls don’t love the tshirts because she said that the cut of tshirt are not sexy… Yes the dools are bitches and they don’t know how to appreciate the nice things of life… For me i’m very happy of the tshirts quality and the customers service and I think that I would command still a lot tshirts. And if she disagree that it closes his mouth!
Thanks lafraise! see you soon

I think an easier way to ask to reprint T-shirts would definitely be useful. I’m currently desperately hoping that Radiogirl T-shirts don’t run out of stock before I can afford to get one. Also, it’s a small thing, but could you fix the bug on posting links in the blog? If you post a link like http://www.lafraise.com/con... and then type anything else after it, it doesn’t work.

Oh, and it would be nice to be able to see the stock levels of a T-shirt directly from its own page, for example, having a button to click that would take you straight to the stock chart for that shirt, rather than having to go out and through the ‘What’s in stock’ link.

Other than that, I can’t think of much. The t-shirts are great quality, and customer service is excellent, there’s just a couple of things that could be ironed out.

2007-08-24 17:42:32

Clearly that bug on links is gone.

OK, that’s gone, that’s good. One other thing, it would be nice to have an option to show prices in British pounds, or American dollars, for people outside the Eurozone.

2007-08-24 21:07:43

Girdag, those are good suggestions, really.

The blog style itself is also a bit weird…
if you have a look at the french lafraise
there are so much comments and they’re are all the same yellow color and there’s no recognition of single users and stuff like that.

I just wanted to say that, don’t need a shirt for this, thanks ;-)

2007-08-24 21:24:51

have you seen the new clip of dildo???

2007-08-24 23:03:51

@mtf: what clip of dildo? What kind of sex allution is this? ^^
—-
I just wanted to add that Decleir also has some seriously good critique on the preselection of designs. That’s just too restrictive!
And cooldude is right, there should be the date of the design and so on.
—-
I think it’s somewhat strange to give the best critique a shirt, they all have nice suggestions!

So, at least I’m demanding a real game ;-)
A quiz for example ^^

After ordering a couple of shirts here I’ve been wondering what the hell is wrong with the t-shirt sizes.. Atleast S(or was it M) size has the strangest portions ever seen in a T-shirt! Ultra-short sleeves and tight from mid-body but still long..

Also umm I’d like to see some more submissions and winners from EU-side, I’m not really getting all the french t-shirt graphics and texts.

And I gotta give a big hands up for the crew here, specially Jouni for making this site so interesting, I havent seen any shirts matching my taste lately but still gotta check the friday game and new submissions every friday =)

From the submitters point of view, not everyone is ‘professional’ who would like to participate, I’d like to see submitting designs made a little easier application-wise ‘cos I really could want to win that 1k euros!

And goddamit, reprint The Last Party already! ^^

I know that "deadline" for this friday game is over, but I want to give you feedback anyway. :)

The delivery times have been very fast, I’ve had my Tees in 3-7 days which is great. The guality of tees and prints are very good as well.

This site has many lacks. It would be great to have "search"-function, example by designer and keywords. This is also very slow site! (Have visited in several computers.) Better zooming-function in stock-shirts, now when you want to take a closer look at the Tee and press the magnifying glass -icon, the picture of original design is zoomed, not the ready Tee.

And one suggestion: Some kinda forum would be nice, I think people would do more submissions if they could talk to each other and share their wisdom and ideas.

But thanks for the great Tees!

Ok, let’s see… Now I actually have the time to read through these. So, I suppose at least the time it takes for me to select a winner for friday game needs some serious improvement. x)

2007-08-31 10:49:57

Very nice, everyone.

…and yeah, coodle is right. It’s going to be hard to select a "winner" in a "game" like this. The reason I decided to do this is actually quite simple; I didn’t really have any good ideas and at the same time I was really interested in hearing your opinions about our site, the products and the crew. After all, it’s you that keep the show running and we’re just the people that make it happen according to your wishes. Therefore it’s important for us to know what you really think. Even if you thought we sucked please tell us that and the way could suck less. ;)

Uhms. Uhms.

The winner?

It’s Girdag. ^_^

I’d also like to thank everyone else for your participation and like we say in Finland "only a cat lives with a thank you" - so, 200br will be transferred to all the persons that suggested something.

…and most important thing; I will forward the suggestions to other members of the laFraise crew and together we’ll see what we can do. <3

Thank’s to you Jouni! I’m waiting for enough brouzoufs to show to the world my laFraise t-shirt! So happy in the house!

2007-09-03 13:23:14

>Jouni

Am I a member who suggested something?
If so, where are the so beloved brouzoufs in my wallet?

2007-09-07 12:01:30

Thanks a lot, Jouni! The brouzoufs don’t seem to have turned up yet, though…
