laFraise @ Afternoon in the Sun

LaFraise was a very visible part of “Afternoon in the Sun 2007” so I thought you might want to see some photos of that. We had two Mölkky-games with us and while the DJs were playing the records the winners of the game received cool new shirts for themselves.

Even though only roughly 350 came to the event (compared to the 600 we had a year before that) and the weather was kinda unsteady the day was a total blast and success. Next year we’ll do something totally different and even the name will change – 6 years of Afternoons in the Sun was quite enough.

Thanks to Karo Holmberg for the photos.

Friday game – Customer Feedback Friday!

From Jouni_crew, on 2007-08-24 at 15:00

Usually the Friday games are all about being funny, witty, the first to find the right answers or something like that. Today that’s not the case though. I get quite a bit of customer feedback by email (…and try to answer to most of it also) and today is…

What do you think about our designs, the way they are printed, the shirts we use, our product selection…? What would you like see more and what are the things you wouldn’t miss even if me quite doing them right this minute? What would you improve? What is going to the right direction and what are the dumbest choices we’ve made?

Tell me. We want to improve!

The best customer feedback before Sunday midnight (GMT) is rewarded by a spanking new design t-shirt of the winner’s choice from our selection (shipping included). Well, enough brouzoufs for one actually, but you know the drill.

Little note about the last Friday’s Friday game: I’m still going through all the entries. I’m sorry it takes so long – be patient.

New shirts available

Finally we’ve got the official shirts for the geeky couples out there – "Mr. Geek" and "Mrs. Geek" have arrived! I’m so getting these for me and the missus when I get my next paycheck if they’re still available. Is anyone really surprised that the designs are by cuypi – a man that is about to become a legend.

I recall calling someone a geek a decade ago was more than slightly offensive. These days many of my friends proudly declare themselves as geeks. I even consider myself one – maybe not in a generic way, but I have many geeky qualities. This kinda makes me wonder; has the tone of the expression really changed this much or is it only because it’s easier to accept who you are when you’re a bit older? One way or another, let’s celebrate our inner and outer geeks!

By the way, if you’re a geekboy or a geekgirl and still single I still recommend you to buy both of the shirts. Based on first hand experience I can tell you that geeks get the best guys and girls. It doesn’t hurt to have the shirt ready and it might even help you on your quest of finding your other half.

"Mr. Geek" (silver) in our store.

"Mrs. Geek" (pink) in our store.

Some of our shirts have now been available in the States for a week. As you’ve propably noticed we’re not actually shipping to the US (not all products are available and they won’t be sent out from Europe when an order comes in) – we’re sending 100 of the 500 shirts we print straight to our office in the new world and they’re selling them through a dedicated Spreadshop. Yes, that’s right – it means that 400 shirts will be available in Europe and 100 in the US which makes the shirts even more exclusive on both continents.

It would be great to get some feedback from the early adapters – our first American customers, that is. If you’re one of them please drop us a line or two. Tell us what you think about our products, the selection, the shop, the theme competition we’re running at the moment… whatever comes in your mind. Your opinion is greatly appreciated and very important for us.

Our newest shirt

From Jouni_crew, on 2007-08-22 at 08:51

I was away for a few days and during that time we got 5 new shirts. Uhms, right now it feels like blogging about them is going to take forever but I’m sure that’s not true. Still the amount of new shirts tells a nice story of how often our product selection is updated – which is naturally great news for our customers. If you don’t like the selection today, come back tomorrow! :)

Our newest shirt is “I Eat Music Everyday” – now available in teal and brown. It’s a very funky design by Mathias22. Just to keep this short and sweet I’ll let the photos do the talking once again.

"I Eat Music Everyday" (brown) in our store.

Robocopped

From Jouni_crew, on 2007-08-22 at 08:20

OMG, I've been robocopped! Well, not really but that's the way I feel with my brand new wrist support. Working long hours on a computer for a long period of time can damage your health and my doctor wasn't too happy when she checked out my right hand. I have a "mouse wrist", she says.

I told her there's no chance in hell for me to "take it easy" as I'm a freelancer and my livelyhood depends on how much I work. Not even if my wrist has been troubling me for the past 6 months already. Well, I was told I may continue banging the keyboard for now but need to wear a support with a metal plate inside to minimize the movement of my wrist. It feels weird.

There's a whole load of stuff I haven't blogged about and really need to in order to keep you updated. So, expect one post after another this week and bare with it even if it feels like I'm flooding you! <3

Friday game – Doggie dog world

From Jouni_crew, on 2007-08-17 at 14:54

Hello dear community – I’m back!

I loved the game we had a couple of weeks back with Stuf’s doll and this week’s game is of similar nature. Well, in a way it is. Below you see a picture of a cute little dog with an empty thought bubble right next to it. What’s on the dog’s mind?

Take the photo and put something into the empty bubble. It can be only one word or image. Then again, it may also be a short story or whatever as long as it fits into the bubble. Do not edit the picture in any other way or go over the lines or you will be disqualified – this is serious business!

When you’re done, publish the picture and post the URL on the comments of this entry. The funniest entry wins and naturally I’m the one that calls the shots on what’s funny and what not, bwahahaa! *grim laugh*

The winner gets enough brouzoufs for a t-shirt of his/her choice from our selection – shipping included. Since the task is easy, you have until midnight (GMT) tonight to complete it!

Many thanks to Karo Holmberg for the photo. <3

About the American Politics contest

From Lam, on 2007-08-15 at 17:33

Hey, just a reminder : our special contest is about American Politics, not American Way Of Life ! I'm sorry to reject so much nice designs, but they're simply off target. So please, keep the topic in mind;)
