This is a very poetic design, and really, it's a cute t-shirt. I'm the model and I had only a M-male sample, so I have to say: don't worry, Clouds Factory is a normal shirt, it's just that I'm small and, well, I'm afraid to be a girl :)

Clouds factory is in the shop!
And I'm really happy to see so many XLR8 designs on laFraise.

Movies are another one of my hobbies and sources of inspiration, I usually try and go to the theatre/cinema at least once a week.
Any movies you guys are looking forward to seeing?
Which movies are your favorites, lets say top 5.
I'm looking forward to seeing quite a bit of new movies, Dark Knight (Batman) is definetly on that list of movies.
Some of my favorite movies currently are The Usual Suspects (Brian Singer), Fight Club (David Fincher), Southland Tales (Richard Kelly), There Will Be Blood (P.T Anderson), No Country For Old Men (Coen Brothers), Fido (Andrew Currie) and the list goes on and on.
What movie are you ashamed to like??
(The above image is based on a character from 2004s "Dead Man's Shoes")
Remember the Basso hip-hop contest, a few months ago? The level was so high that we decided to print some of the designs for our shop. Here is "Bring da noise" from Last. Strong style, large print, flashy colours: perfect for spring. We're all in love with this t-shirt at the office :)

Bring it to me baby!
And the designer is the wonderful, the terrific, the megasuperstar Laaaast!!

Networking is always an important part of becoming a successful artist.
Whether it's networking with other artists on any level, people in the print industry, people more in the business and marketing side of things or even just with fans, the ability to sell yourself across platforms is key.
That's why sites such as Behance and Deviantart are so important to the up-and-coming artist.
These are great tools for networking, especially with like-minded artists.
You can create a profile, upload and present your personal or commercial work, and receive comments, feedback and suggestions from the public and of course other artists.
I'd definetly suggest Behance over Deviantart. It is more geared toward professionalism and not fangirl/anime drawings with a crayon as can be the case with Deviantart.
My portfolio on Behance is http://www.behance.net/j3concepts if you need an example.
Sites like these can help you expand your network your imagination and can help you kill time while browsing other artist's work.
"So until next time… keep fit and have fun!"

A small hobby of mine is collecting Dunnys
Now what makes these little 3 inch designer vinyl toys so cool is that artists from around the world are invited/commisioned to design each one.
Each of the 3 inch Dunny come in whats called a "blind box", which means that all the boxes are identical so you never know which Dunny you'll get. Now in each collection there are rare ones as well, so some more common characters will be 2/25 and others will be 1/100 etc.
Now I have a very small collection, but I have a few of the more rare ones as well.

I've only started seriously collecting within the last month or so and I'm constantly adding to my collection.
My all time favorite Dunny so far is…

He is a special edition Paul Smith Dunny who as far as I know only came with a special pair of Paul Smith jeans. I happened to find this guy on Ebay a few weeks back at a great price so I had to snatch him up.
You can view the full gallery of Dunnys here on Kidrobot's site
I currently just purchased 4 more that I'm waiting for in the mail.
I find these guys of great inspiration at times too. So they serve multiple purposes :)
Anyone else interested in or collect Dunnys, if so whatr your favorites? Also feel free to browse the gallery on Kidrobot and pick out the ones you like the most and post em.

The food chain is now in your favourite shop!
This design has been made by massala.k!
What's new on laFraise this week? We'll start introducing you to our new partner: Greenpeace. Why? Because next Monday, we'll start a new contest and we really want you to be part of it! The pitch will be revealed on Friday so make sure to be there. It won't be easy but it sure will be interesting (more than Madonna and Justin Timberlake? Yep).
So, what about Greenpeace? Here are its most important actions:
Catalysing an energy revolution to address the number one threat facing our planet: climate change.
Defending our oceans by challenging wasteful and destructive fishing, and creating a global network of marine reserves.
Protecting the world’s ancient forests and the animals, plants and people that depend on them.
Working for disarmament and peace by tackling the causes of conflict and calling for the elimination of all nuclear weapons.
Creating a toxic free future with safer alternatives to hazardous chemicals in today's products and manufacturing.
Campaining for sustainable agriculture by rejecting genetically engineered organisms, protecting biodiversity and encouraging socially responsible farming.
We met them last week and were really impressed by their determination and their realist speech. So now, we're really looking forward to work with them. And with you, of course.

Not a major update tonight because I'm still sick and feeling like $#!*. I am still/always contacting various artists (a lot of the ones you've mentioned and a number of others.) Any more suggestions of current artists you'd want to see come on board? What about artists that haven't submitted in a while or only artists that submitted just once?
And what's your favourite thing to do while you are stuck at home sick? I need some ideas.
*As a sidenote, the above graphic is obviously of Daft Punk. I thought it suiting because I've always found their album "Homework" to be a good "pick me up" when I'm sick or feeling down. Reminds me of driving around downtown Vancouver with my wife in a VW Cabrio blasting "Burnin" and "Rollin 'n Sratchin" full volume :)
