Yeah, I know, it was a very girly week. But it's not really surprising: we had a lot of Mad' t-shirts waiting for a release, and at the office, Jared and Guillaume are the only men. I'm secretly trying to build a matriarchy :)

Well Superfex chose this week's Friday Game, and it should be an interesting one.

I'm going to give you 3 shapes, and you can create whatever scene or artwork you want to with them. The only rule is, all three shapes have to be in the final artwork you submit.

Here is a zip file with the needed transparent png files and ai file if you need.

Now you can use them in a photo, a vector, a hand drawing, a video, anything you like!!

A crazy work for a crazy shirt: Typography is definitely not a game!

Especially when it's designed by short! 

For those of you who know me, you know I'm a big fan of designer vinyl toys.

Well tomorrow in North America we'll see the release of 3 new characters in the Dunnys series, 'The 3 Bears'. (pictured below)

Now each bear is done by a seperate artist. The 3 artists are, Tado, Jon Burgerman and ilovedust.

This marks the first time Kidrobot has released a trio of 8' inch Dunnys in this manner.

Now I was excited to hear that these were being released, until I actually saw the designs.

They are weak at best. Seeing what these designers have done in the past and then comparing it to these 3 new characters, it seems like the artists are going backwards in their creative process.

Just very weak 1 dimensional design work. The only redeeming factor is Tado's work which involved a fishing rod with a fish on the end of it. Nothing special in itself but the fish is pretty cute with a little moustache.

Overall not too impressed with the new release. I'm hoping that once I get one in my hands on one my opinion will change. Either way I guess I'll just have to wait until their new 3' inch series is released in the next month or so.

Well I always have trouble coming up with a good Friday game… if I remember at all.

So as a pre-game I'm asking for your help.

I need your help to come up with the next 'Friday Game'.

It's the name of our new Mad' design!! Flashy, girly and trendy. It's really what we want to see everyday in the gallery and I think it's the first Mad' t-shirt I'll buy. I know it's hard for most of the male designers to submit in the girl corner, but I really wish to see this collection growing  and growing. Because I'm a girl. Yup.

You probably already knew that every June 21, we organize the World Music Day. But did you know that from this year, the same day will also be the T-Shirt Day? It's a Spreadshirt idea and it's the thematic of our new special contest: the Marketplace contest. What is the marketplace? It's where the Spread'customers can buy and customize the t-shirt of their dreams. 

This time, we don't need a complicated design with a lot of colors. Actually, the more simple it is, the best chances you will have to win. Remember the NY loves me?

Well it's the same kind of idea. You create something simple enough to be used by any customers and you submit it here, on the french part of the site. More than a super graphics, we're looking for an icon. A Pop-Idol-Shirt. 

What is to be won? 1500 Euro for the winner + 3 Euro each time his idea is used by a Spreadshirt customer to customize a t-shirt. What does it mean? That if you create a top-seller, you can just wait and see the money falling from the sky directly in your bank account.

Technical stuff :  3 colors only (and if it's less, really, it's better), 30cm max, no line thiner than 1,5 mm. No patern effects, no merging or colour scale, and don't forget to leave some space empty for the customisation. We won't take "I love" or "I hate" – it has already been done. 

Timing : From May 19 to May 26, one week for the votes, and the winner will be announced on June 9!!

Thanks to everyone for their popdeck submissions, we've seen some great ones come in the door.

For those who posted their submission late and do not see it up, that means it's was rejected.

You can though submit your artwork on the regular contest for a chance to win 1000 Euros. The regular contest is open to anyone at anytime.

We'll be tallying votes etc. this weekend and coming up with the final winners sometime next Monday or Tuesday, so keep checking back regularly.
