Being a big Adidas Originals fan these caught my eye at first glance, and even more so since it’s a laFraise employee selling these on Ebay. The price is very reasonable considering these are so rare, and by “rare” I mean only 22 pairs were produced and handed out to selected key retailers world wide.

I’m rarely inspired by videogames, probably because I don’t play many anymore. I’ve always followed the Wipeout series since the beginning though. The style of art and the selection of music has always stuck out in my mind and even influenced a lot of my earlier work. The newest installment, Wipeout HD has an excellent style and approach. It really melds the whole electro culture with the videogame and design culture quite well. It’s currently only available for PS3, but I encourage you to at least checkout the game, it’s music, and downloadable content such as wallpapers.

Playing this game has actually made me want to try my old classic style again.
