REBIRTH is the code name under which we have developed the new look of laFraise.com in the last months.
The new laFraise rises like a phoenix from its ashes – well honestly, a 5-years old Website in the WWW of nowadays seems to be the grandmother under the Websites, but anyways, it’s very fertile. That means, the fundament will remain and innovations will come on top.
The REBIRTH of laFraise is the result of a long way of processing full of concentrated energy, insisting purposefulness and loads of patience to fight for the necessary resources…….numerous explanations for the How? and Why?…several powerpoint presentations for every step of progress…hundreds of travels between the Berlin office and our lovely headquarters in Leipzig…a fourfold consumption of cigarettes and coffee…endless “Girls, don’t break my balls!” (this is for Guillaume)…sleepless nights in front of the monitor, dozens of web-design books and adjustments to the nearest millimetre (THANKS Norbert!)….countless “Oh, we still forgot…” and last-minute diversions…..IT IS DONE!!! In a few hours, there will be the moment for a little downer because the laFraise that you all know up to now won’t exist anymore.
Everybody placed his own piece in this big REBIRTH-puzzle. There were all those little small wheels running in the huge device of Spreadshirt to support laFraise. So let’s have a look behind the scenes and present the people of action:
The patron is Guillaume, a character mixed of patience and determination. “Monsieur Priorité” is the driving force of laFraise – firm but always up for a laugh, with visions and his talent to put things into action.
The architect of the new laFraise-look is Norbert. All the Oh’s, Ah’s and Wow’s are dedicated to him as the layout and all the graphical elements are penned by himself. How do you find a style that is still refined but authentic? It is the mixture of colours and the special sense of humour that stands for the unique laFraise-style.
The construction engineer is Gregor, who has ever been our IT-hero. He is one of the few who knows every little fibre of laFraise. He looks at the shell and comes up with absolutely functional applications for the site.
And last but not least all the other engineers – Rainer, Alex and Greg, who always tried to fulfill our wishes, requirements and gripes to develop special machines that will change your life.
So, here we are – still in the status to settle in which will take a few more weeks. But we hope that you are already as excited as we are about the result.
P.S. Please turn up the volume :-)
