Congrats to San_CE for being our Guest of the Week this week!

Hi dudes, my name is San, the pronunciation of my chinese given name. I was born and live in Hong Kong, a small but crowded and hustled city.  She’s beautiful and very convenient. We can get informations easily,
have nice food and variety of entertainments. But thanks to gobal warming, it becomes much hotter than before. The air quality is not as good as the past years, so please HEAL OUR WORLD~

I graduated in 2002. My major was electronic engineering, but I didn’t become an engineer rationally. HA…… I entered a magazine publisher and started my design career.
After serving in a few companies, I am a freelance illustrator/ game artist now.
I am addicted to vector graphics. Actually my first tool was Photoshop when exploring the field of digital art several years ago. Unfortunately I found that my computer was too slow and could not afford high resolution drawing.  Then I shifted to study vector graphics and finally “married” her. Thus AI is still my major weapon.

The inspiration mainly comes from many cartoons and comics (both Japanese and Western style) seen in my childhood or even now. I love cartoon style, which is fanciful, energetic and sometimes crazy. I hope people who see my works can experience joy, fun and excitement. Keep smiling, crazy, optimistic and energetic.

And now I am developing my own brand called “Crazy Enough“.
Not much planning but targets to create some interesting projects, t-shirts, illustrations, games etc.
I’d like to join projects working with other artists, designers and illustrators from different countries as well.

I first came across laFraise in Feb 2009.
I submitted some works but didn’t expect to win any prizes, only wanted for more people to see my works and get some valuable comments.
The first submission was rejected, but luckily the rest were passed.  Although my works did not get high score, these were rewarded with some nice feedback.
One day I found a mail titled “Winning design ‘All You Need Is’” in my mailbox. WOW, am I dreaming?? It’s my first time to win t-shirt contest. And WOW again I won 1000 Euro. This is a sign that someone really like my works and encourages me to further develop my style.
