Dear Duo’s,
we have good news for you: the Duo contest will be extended as we realized that it seems to be a bit more challenging to get 4 hands working on 1 design – especially in the fussy Advent season with a mouth full of hot wine punch and an ear playing the catchy tune of “Last christmas…”. Well, we know it takes time to find a partner for the duo, bring the idea together, start to design and exchange emails about the progress – but we would like to give you this time and are looking forward to your participation and your submission.
Submissions are open until January 11th 2010 (the end of votes January 18th)

And:
Just one condition for the team to participate: one of the two designers has to have already participated in at least one laFraise contest. So you would have to submit your design with this designer’s account and put the other’s name in the comment.
After reading over this condition, it sounds a bit weird – so choose your favourite artist to work on a shirt design based on the theme: Monsters and fantasy universes.
Submissions
November 9th 2009 until January 11th 2010 – 15:30
+ one week to finish the votes
One design will be selected to be printed on 500 laFraise t-shirts. The winning DUO will receive €2,000 (divided in two payments of €1,000)
So, keep up with the good work – bonne chance!
To sweeten up your Advent season, we have a Xmas shirt for you in our Advent calendar every day! We will pass one t-shirt at 15€ every day for only 24hours. Let’s start today with The Swarm, a design created by Attila.

Merry Pre-Christmas

Well some of you have asked what exactly it is that I do for laFraise now that I am the new Art Director, well…
I work closely with the moderation team to go through the many submissions we get here. We moderate for things such as style, copyright, presentation and overall message or theme. I make sure that things are up to the regular standards or even higher.
Also all the little graphics you see around that were put in place by the Art Director before me; Norbert Reissig, I am continuing on with that style. I’m creating more variations and personalities for our Edgar Allan Roll character that you see everywhere along with the other various creatures used throughout laFraise, including the header (Holiday header you see now) and all advertising. Any handtag and branding work from now on will also be handled by me. It’s hard picking up someone else’s style, but I’m sure to give it my own twist as I go along.
Also I have a major hand in selecting the winners each week for classic, mad, and sponsored contests.
Along with all of that I also have a hand in the direction of style that laFraise represents now and in the future.
And now you know, I’m here to make laFraise look pretty :)
