Mademoiselle winners !

From Marie (Crew), on 2010-04-27 at 11:04

The selection of the winners for this Mademoiselle Contest was difficult…not to say VERY difficult. So finally, we do not have only 2 winners but 3!! Each will earn €1000 for their work to be printed on 500 girly tees from our Mademoiselle collection.

So let me introduce you the 3 treasuries which will dress you up and turn you into “bien jolies Mademoiselles”:

115311

Les rouquines de la plage by Beyond the Chuch’
Printed on a white A-Dress.

Just put on a bikini and your flip flops with this shirt – it’s the perfect accessory for a perfect summer day at the beach!

•••

115118

This is Lulu’s song by Lulu

Lulu also belongs to the winners. With just one colour, she hit the mark. This black-and-white version is perfect, however, Beyond is already printed on white so we would like to print Lulu’s song on an A-Dress in mauve.

•••

Zutto_Seeform

Mice Love Jewelry by Zutto

Adaptation to a Puffed sleeved in seefoam, which is the most suitable cut for this work.

•••

I promess myself something which I never did before..but I would like to do a big-up to MrWayne for his wonderful You will never walk alone.

Thanks to ALL participants – you gave us a lot of wonderful creativity to choose from – and congrats to the 3 winners!

Wooden Toy Publishing Co.

The Wooden Toy Publishing Co. is ran by friend, Timba Smits is not what you’d think.
It is in fact an independent micro-publishing house or as it appears a sort of cultural art blog “appealing to creative addicts and culture fiends alike.”
It is mainly a magazine with “5000 individually numbered copies distributed 2 times per year, Wooden Toy Quarterly is not only a publication worth collecting for its themed editions alone, but for its aim to document and highlight emerging and established creatives that have in some way been influenced by contemporary culture, design and art while drawing in the creatives that we think can be, and are an influence and inspiration to others.”

Take the time to checkout The Wooden Toy Publishing Co.

Also make sure to checkout their latest involvement in Lyrics & Type.

Fellow BSV member LoungeKat just recently posted a very handy tutorial on Character Merchandising.
She covers everything from actual character conceptualization to how to market it properly and through what avenues.

Make sure to checkout the whole tutorial at VectorTuts.

Always on the look out for new fonts, I stumbled across HVD Fonts awhile back but then forgot about it was time went on.
Well came back to it today and I have to say I remember why I was so impressed with it.

A great assortment of fonts for any project or style. It’s a small site, but def useful.

The site also includes a few Free Fonts worth trying.

Noteworthy fonts include:
