Well I wanted to say goodbye to the laFraise crowd before it was too late to do so.
October is my last month as Art Director with laFraise.
In my time here I made some great friends, met some great new artists and learned a bit about the industry.
Sad to say though that my freelance work and the goals of laFraise have taken me in different directions, so it was time to go our separate ways.

laFraise has been good to me over the last 2.5 years I’ve been with the company, and I wan’t to say goodbye to a few key people I’ve worked with here mainly Jana Eggers and Marie Noel. You guys were great to work with, and I’m happy to see you taking your own path as well, whether that be with laFraise or elsewhere. Also wanted to say thank you to other laFraise/Spreadshirt staff such as Scott McLeod, Jana Castro, Gregor Nobis, Nathalie Nienkemper and Nathalie Tachet. Also a big thanks to the former laFraise Art Director Norbert Reissig, who without laFraise would not have had it’s core mascot and supporting characters :)

Also the laFraise community has been great over the last few years. I’ve seen some great artists grow and really thrive in the laFraise community.
Nice to know I was part of that.

Either way, sad to go, but happy for the experience I’ve gained.

Gaia is a “A worldwide community to celebrate the beauty of nature through digital art.”
The collection consists of desktop wallpapers, visualstyle, media player skins, icons etc. and also consists of an original downloadable soundtrack.
The whole collection was curated by Marius Bauer (Sublevel) who some of you will know from laFraise and other designer hubs around the internet.

This originally started out as a client based playing card project but once I realized the scope of it I decided to bring a few other artists on board. Other artists consisted of fellow BSV members Cuypi, ZombieCorp and Niark. All 3 designers I got to know over the last few years and had grown to respect as individuals and artists. Our styles all seemed to work together to create an overall theme and feel.
You’ll of course recognize all 3 artists as laFraise  designers :)

This project was started late last year and is still in production. No word yet on when these will become available to purchase, but I will def let everyone know.

I always try and keep the laFraise community in the look with my personal projects and since you guys have shown a lot of interest in the past in regards to my wallpacks, I wanted to fill you in on the latest installment in my ongoing wallpack series.

This collection represents my favorite personal pieces over the last 1-2 years. All wallpapers illustrated by Jared Nickerson/J3Concepts/Jthree.

The Jthree Wallpack 2010 consists of 26 Desktop wallpapers in 1920×1200 and 2560×1600 resolutions and 24 iPad wallpapers in 1024×1024 resolution. (iPad walls will also work with the iPhone and other like phones)
