Hi again! One contest was not enough, we decided to have one more occasion for you to win some money (tomorrow = summer = holidays = you don't have anything to do = enjoy our contests!).

You probably all know Dailymotion, the French Youtube. Well, their employees are forced to work completely naked just because they couldn't find a cool t-shirt… sad, isn't it? So here we are, trying to help them. And trying to win the 1500 Euro special prize.

The Dailymotion team is looking for a sexy shirt which could contain a word like Club, Guest, Exclusif, Staff, Private, Collector, Vip, Active Member or something like this. Why? Because they would like to show that they are a strong community and that everybody should want to be part of it. Therefore they need a limited-edition shirt. Hopefully if they wear this shirt, the people in the streets will attack them to steal it. Yeah, it's really what they said. People must be jealous of this shirt :)

Technical stuff:
up to 12 colours, the background is royal blue (CMYK : 100, 66, 0, 2). You can use the logo, or not. If you need it, download it!!

Timing: from now on till June 27th, end of votes on July 4th, winners on July 7th.

Ok here is a super-hard enigma. Pay attention. Take a deep breath. Turn your brain on. Ready? Go.

Tomorrow -> August 2nd -> voucher code -> LFSALES08 -> -25% -> even on the 11 or 17 Euro shirts.

Yeah I know, that was a complicated one :)

Don’t forget…

Today and tomorrow, we celebrate the International T-shirt Day :) With ice-creams and cool shirts!

I am such a rebelle

From mto, on 2008-06-20 at 12:03

Celio strikes back! The young designers contest is ready to offer 3000 Euro to you. Precisely, to you and seven of your friends (actually they said that there would be between four and eight winners, but they always decide to reward eight designers - and oh, the 3000 Euro are for each designer).

It's happening now on the French blog. And the thematic is: Rebel Christmas - your New Year's anti-resolutions (the shirts will be sold in the Celio shops for Christmas).

- It has to be humoristic and positive,

- It's a drawing, a sentence or a pictogramm,

- It must be simple but visually super-efficient,

- The Celio symbol (*) must be somewhere but not too big.

(Those are the last winners, after the Electro Music contest.)

- For the colors, you're completely free :) Your design will be printed on longsleeves.

- 3000 Euro to be won for up to 8 designers!!

- Until June 30th for the submissions, July 7th for the votes, and the winners will be announced on July 10th.

Good luck :)

12 is the new 8

From mto, on 2008-05-26 at 19:10

VERY IMPORTANT: laFraise is now able to print 12 colors with gradients and halftones. Guillaume and Kathrin fought hard for this, and we will have many other surprises, but this is definitely the best one. 12 colors!!

So we asked Theoze to draw a "test" design - we're gonna print only 250 copies, it's a collector. Let's get ready to rainbow should be available in one month :)

Paris - Berlin: a new contest!!

From mto, on 2008-05-06 at 09:00

We're very excited, because on the 21st June the first offical german la Fraise Party will take place in Berlin. Together with the DFJW (an international organisation which helps young people to meet and share their French and German culture), we're hosting a party and an exhibition during the „Fête de la Musique“!

For this party we need a lot of great designs! One to make a shirt from and some more for the laFraise exhibition… here is everything you need to know:

- What is it about?

The theme of the contest is “Berlin-Paris: faites de la musique”! We want you to unite all these subjects in one design: the two beautiful cities of Paris and Berlin, and the music!

- What can you win?

We will choose one 1500 Euros winner, which design will be printed as usual on a 500-pieces limited shirt edition, plus his design will be printed on canvas and be part of our la Fraise exhibition. Additionally we will choose ten more winners whose designs will be printed on canvas aswell (100cm x 100cm). These eleven winning designs will be exhibited in Berlin for about two months and afterwards the designers themselves will receive their canvas print!

- Where to submit your designs?

Please submit your designs here.

- Timing:

Submit your designs until the 19th of May – the latest! As the deadline for the production of the shirts and canvas is very short, all designers should be prepared to send us their design in .ai files in high resolution within 3 days!

- Technical stuff:

The design has to be printable on white shirts!

Try to use the the colours of the Info-Cafe which are: Yellow (PANTONE 7409 C) , Red/Brown (PANTONE 485 C) , Ocker (PANTONE 131 C) and White, but choose whatever additional colours you like!

- As of copyright: Please do not integrate the name „Fête de la Musique“ or „DFJW/OFAJ“ and also not their logos in your designs!

We're looking forward to your designs and if possible to seeing you at our party and exhibition!

We're waiting for you guys :) All the details are here, all the talent is yours.

A message from Fabian & Max:

Within the last contest we move one step further and simultaniously one step back to the laFraise traditions. It will combine interior with shirt-design.

In this pdf you´ll find rhombuses and a red square. Put 10 rhombuses together in that square until you find a shape that pleases you. The rhombuses shouldn´t cross the red square. This will be our pattern floorplan.

Only condition: the rhombuses must have a contact to another one on at least one of it´s four sides (see examples in pdf). After you found your preferred adjustment, go on with a shirt design, that includes your 10-rhombuses-sculpture (only the outlineshape must be kept. Coulour, line thickness, style, size of your construction in your design, etc… you can all change), a type from the first location: paris, and….the rest is up to you.

No more conditions, except, that these two elements have to be included in your shirt-design.

Loads of brouzoufs for the winner and… good luck!

Ready, set, go…

New contest: Greenpeace to save the oceans!

From mto, on 2008-04-28 at 11:46

Hey everybody! This new week starts with a new contest, and we're proud to announce that we join Greenpeace in its fight to preserve the oceans. Why?

If we want fish tomorrow, we need marine reserves today. If we want whales tomorrow, we need marine reserves today. If we want to stop bottom trawling, we need marine reserves today. For healthy oceans — we need marine reserves today.

There is a growing body of scientific evidence that demonstrates that the establishment of large-scale networks of marine reserves, urgently needed to protect marine species and their habitats, could be key to reversing global fisheries decline and restoring our oceans. Greenpeace's plan to set aside 40 percent of the world's oceans as no-take zones could mean survival for sharks, tuna, whales, and a wide range of threatened and endangered species…

- Pitch of the contest: Marine reserves now!! In French: 40% de réserves marines sur les océans du globe, maintenant !

- Prize: 1500 Euros for each of the three winners.

- Timing: end of submissions on May the 11th.

- Where: please submit your designs here :)

- Technical stuff: the t-shirts will be printed in our new Organics collection. The background must be white, beige or yellow, since it's the only colours on which we can print without chemicals.

- The logo of Greenpeace is here and must appear in green (hexa 66CC00, Pantone 382U) on a white background. If you want to see the map of the marine reserves planned by Greenpeace, it's here.

- What Greenpeace wants : no candy-like supercool dolphins with a smile. Your design is supposed to carry a strong message, with energy. It's supposed to provoke a reaction or a debate, to draw the attention, to make this project visible. Please keep in pind that a marine reserve is not just about fishes: sand, coral or seahorses are just as important as tuna. It's a global contest. Last but not least… jokes are welcome :)

I know that this contest will be a challenge for the designers, because the style and the motif are very strict. But I also know that you can do it and that Greenpeace is counting on you. I'll be looking forward to see your first submissions… good luck!!

Food chain

The food chain is now in your favourite shop

What's new on laFraise this week? We'll start introducing you to our new partner: Greenpeace. Why? Because next Monday, we'll start a new contest and we really want you to be part of it! The pitch will be revealed on Friday so make sure to be there. It won't be easy but it sure will be interesting (more than Madonna and Justin Timberlake? Yep).

So, what about Greenpeace? Here are its most important actions:

Catalysing an energy revolution to address the number one threat facing our planet: climate change.

Defending our oceans by challenging wasteful and destructive fishing, and creating a global network of marine reserves.

Protecting the world’s ancient forests and the animals, plants and people that depend on them.

Working for disarmament and peace by tackling the causes of conflict and calling for the elimination of all nuclear weapons.

Creating a toxic free future with safer alternatives to hazardous chemicals in today's products and manufacturing.

Campaining for sustainable agriculture by rejecting genetically engineered organisms, protecting biodiversity and encouraging socially responsible farming.

We met them last week and were really impressed by their determination and their realist speech. So now, we're really looking forward to work with them. And with you, of course.
