After multiple checks with Jam Berlin, here are the areas which have to be covered by the winning design.

It’s everything in blue on the picture below :

I hope it’s clear enough for you. Please find the updated template here (pdf with layers), with some layers deleted.
Keep in mind that the front of the bus stays without any design and, thus in yellow !

JAM BERLIN, Pimp my bus!

From Claudia_Crew, on 2009-12-08 at 22:41

This week’s new contest is about the collaboration with JAM BERLIN.

This contest is really special as it is the first time we organize a contest other than for a t-shirt!

You already know that this time, you have to design a huge sticker to customise a BVG double-deck bus. The bus is covered with your design and will drive once round Berlin’s streets during Berlin Fashion Week in January 2010.

Attention, it’s gonna be a huge, challenging and very special contest.

JAM BERLIN is the trade fair for established labels as well as young and innovative brands from segments such as jeans & sportswear, womens- & menswear, accessories & lifestyle. It also serves to creative exhibitors established in merchandising and retail services. Moreover JAM BERLIN presents its new Area20-10, which is a platform for upcoming designers and labels.
In order to strongly support the stark and creative emerging fashion design scene the booths are mainly sponsored by JAM BERLIN. With this profile, JAM Berlin provides its exhibitors, as well as the trade itself, a brand new platform within Berlin Fashion Week, creatively fulfilling an existing need from the textile industry.

Here is your briefing:

Berlin, new European’s capital for art and music.
Nowadays, the “next generation” consists of the kids who were born 20 years ago (during the Fall of the Berlin wall).
Every day, they reinvent the capital and themselves while exploiting it’s liberty anew. In the upcoming decades, Berlin will gain even more importance and influence.

The subject for the bus of the next Berlin Fashionweek is the future of the year 2010. Tired to see a new revival each year, it’s time for fresh air and new style. Have fun and represent the futur that we all dreamed about when we were young.
One rule to follow : Keep it simple, keep it straight, keep it surprising!

Technical information

You can download the templates of the bus here and choose between illustrator or freehand:

http://www.wall.de/de/outdoor_advertising/displays_and_formats/downloads

Please use the template for: MAN-DL-05!

There are no technical requirements, as long as you work with one of the templates. As you can see, it’s possible to use different formats. The only technical requirement is to work with the template – no limited colours or genre. However, it’s necessary to keep a bit of the bus in the original black and yellow (to enable the public transport of the bus).

We’ll get some more photos to give you a first impression of the realisation.

The winner will be chosen by the JAM jury and receives 1000€ plus an invitation to the fair in Berlin (train, plane, hotel) where a space next to our booth will be provided for creative work – live. Thus, this is a perfect chance to present your artwork to a huge audience of labels and potential customers.

Furthermore, JAM will provide more space for creative realisation to underline the creativity of our community. We’re thinking of inviting a few designers to the fair – depending on the submission level.

So take the challenge and share your creativity!

Are you Ready for Jam?

For the first time of laFraise’s history, we’re not looking for a t-shirt design… but a bus design!

The winning design of the contest would be printed on a huge sticker to customised a BVG double-deck bus which would travel all over the town during the Berlin Fashion Week.
