This selection hasn’t been easy even if we had pretty obvious cool designs. First of all, we congratulate georgeslemercenaire and his design with an abyssal atmosphere that we liked. Please introduce yourself – who are you, where do you come from and how did you become an illustrator?
Hi laFraise, I’m an illustrator artist from Indonesia. I became a graphic design because it’s my hobby, yup drawing. J

Tell us how you created the design “Bowling fail” and how you got the idea. What inspired you?
The first idea came from penguin, and then I went looking for what object nearly had a penguin shape, and then the idea came: bowling!

Do you like bowling and do you play often?
Yup sometimes on the weekend I’m go bowling with my friend. But I’m not good at it. Just for fun. :-)

How long have you known laFraise and when did you first get to know the sweet little fruit?
I’ve known laFraise for more than a year – my friend introduced me to it. And after that laFraise become my favourite website.

If you were to recommend laFraise to someone, what would you say?
laFraise is a great t-shirt website with a lot great and cute designs, once you visit, you can never go away. :-)

Do you have any hobbies other than drawing – what are they?
My hobbies are watching movies, playing soccer, and hanging out with my friends.

My expectations for this year: I’ll win another laFraise design contest. :D

Hi xraysucks,
Could you briefly introduce yourself for those who don’t yet know you? How and why did you get into graphic design?
Hi laFraise, my name is Ray Wirawan aka xraysucks. I started out in graphic design early this year. In January, a friend of mine introduced me to laFraise. From that moment I knew I wanted to be part of the community, so I tried to start making my own designs. Then I learned how to make better designs using Ai. Now I love doing it!
What is the story of “love love love” and how did the idea come to you?
Well, the idea for the design “love love love” came from my previous design called “Orphan” with a hedgehog and a cactus that it thought was his mother, but then I made it more fun and fresher so I changed it to a hedgehog and a cactus with flower in his hand. I think, well this is an even better idea!

It’s a tough climb, but once you get out of the atmosphere the lack of gravity makes it a whole lot easier. Coyote7’s design is a great illustration with a cool sense of perspective and perfect for aspiring astronauts and space cadets.

We went for cute this week with xraysucks’ lovelovelove – the cactus and hedgehog theme has been tried before, but we were convinced by this design and the story behind it.

Gums made it to the podium last week, but we think this design has some great potential on a shirt. Those ancient Egyptians sure built those things for eternity. Congrats to gums on this print!

Bubusam created a great atmosphere with this design, mixing the flora of the present with the fauna of the past. And there was a cat too! A fun and cute design deserved of 2nd place!

A very interesting mix of cute and crude with a fine implied joke that “money stinks”. We weren’t really sure how well it would work on a shirt, but thought it was very worthy of third place on the podium.
